The main goal of the project is – Creating and developing networks and partnerships between the 12 partners in order to generate projects having as main theme the promotion of the principles of equal opportunities and the elimination of discriminatory barriers based on gender and belonging to minority groups
Specific objectives: ➢ sharing the personal, socio-educational and professional experience of 24 youth workers from 12 partner and non-EU partner countries on the social integration of women in rural areas belonging to minority groups; ➢ promotion of tools and methods of non-formal education in the social integration of rural women from Uk and partner countries in the project; personal and professional development; ➢ creating partnerships and networks between the 12 partner countries in the project to implement social inclusion projects for women in rural areas. exchange experiences and best practices concerning youth activities that promote the integration of the young people that suffered from being bullied ;
➢ promote the intercultural dialogue;
➢ familiarize the participants with the Erasmus + Programme, This application is in line with the general objectives and priorities of Erasmus +: Improving key competences and promoting active citizenship among young people, social inclusion and solidarity, intercultural dialogue, promoting European cooperation in the youth field, social inclusion, European citizenship. The project will create a favorable framework to intercultural dialogue and promote tolerance for different cultures, considering that youth workers will work together, discuss, reflect, find solutions to an important European issue – equality of opportunity for all. The teamwork of participants will help strengthen their European citizenship identity, as they will identify and promote common values, and will realize that together only a better future can be built for and in Europe.
48 Youth workers from 12 countries( UK, Romania , Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Malta , Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia ) considered that the issue of equal opportunities among rural women belonging to minorities groups should be debated and promoted through the creation of new networks and partnerships that in the future can help promote and know the principles of equal opportunities which will lead to the awareness of the rights of people belonging to vulnerable groups in general and women in rural areas in particular. The project will take place in Sheffield , UK for 5 days of activities (24th-30th november 2018+ 2 days travel).
The profile of the participants
Participants should be young leaders or youth workers. There is no age limit, but participants should be over 18. One of participants must have under 30 years old.
The profile of the participants must correspond with the profile of an experienced youth worker, that are actively involved in the civil society and the NGO environment. The participants need to have good knowledge and communication skills in English, both written and spoken (minimum level B1)
